This is a data collection device that takes water meter data from a custom 900MHz radio, stores it, and delivers the data across the internet using a wired Ethernet connection. The device is powered via PoE and mounted in an outdoor ruggedized case for mounting on a telephone pole. This device features custom fail-safe remote firmware updates that ensure the device is never dead on the pole. This project also included remote logging over the Ethernet connection for status and setup information.
